Global Service Delivery Director - Harvey Nash HNIT Job Search ...

Reporting to the CIO, leading a team of more than 50 UK based colleagues and liaising with senior management Stakeholders, divisional IT Directors and IT Business Partners you'll create a Global Service Delivery function that will also offer service excellence to international regions.

This global brand are undergoing a transformation of their UK Service Delivery function and this role will:
? Take the lead in ensuring that operational requirements for IT services are understood, documented and delivered throughout the service life-cycle.
? Ensure the team has the necessary management processes, organisational structure, people skills and governance to keep business Stakeholders up to date with performance.
? Identify risks and issues in a timely manner and provide proposals for mitigation and corrective actions as required.

As Director Global Service Delivery you'll:
- Ensure the provision and performance of services meet the standards, quality and cost demanded by the organisation and establish frameworks to monitor the service, ensuring value for money.
- Set targets, monitor performance and manage the service ensuring that SLAs, contracts and negotiations with both internal and external suppliers meet business needs.
- Advise and influence at the highest level, regarding delivery, costs, availability and functionality of services and systems and develop effective partnerships, based on mutual commercial interest for future development.
- Take responsibility for conformance to legislation, governance and process.
- Take responsibility for the financial and staffing aspects of operational management, service and project management and manage the implementation of business systems and IT controls to measure performance and manage risk.
- Contribute to policy making decisions at the highest level and also maintain an awareness of good practice frameworks, including capability and maturity models and standards.

In order to perform well within this role you must have the following skills and experience:
? Management of a large scale IT Service Delivery function (multi-site, multi country experience).
? Change management experience (expanding service delivery from regional to global desirable).
? Able to make sound and far reaching decisions on major technical and service delivery issues.
? Evidence of delivering efficient and effective services within agreed time and cost constraints.
? Commercial awareness; you'll naturally keep aware of current and future trends and will have a broad knowledge of current techniques and practices associated with development and service provision.
? Broad knowledge of project management and/or operational management standards and procedures and maintain an active awareness of good practice frameworks, (e.g. capability and maturity models).
? Experience with contract management.
? Evidence of Business Continuity Planning.
? Worked to corporate, industry and professional standards, specifically ITIL (version 2 essential, version 3 desirable), eTOM, TickIT, CMMI advantageous.
? Exposure to national/international standards associated with IT practice.
? Educated to degree level. Ideally (but not essentially) you will hold CITP, MCMI and/or ISSMP.
