Foligno, 8 June (AKI) - Tax police Friday impounded from a Chinese importer in central Italy 18,000 garments, piece of costume jewellery, eyewear and accessories that failed to meet European labelling standards. European labelling law requires goods to state where they were made and the exact materials used in their manufacture, but the impounded items had no labels on them at all. unnamed Chinese importer sells the items he imports at a shop he owns in the Umbrian town of Foligno now faces 'administrative sanctions' from the local Chamber of Commerce in the nearby city of Perugia, according to police.
